Rescue Team Saves Hunter Mauled by Grizzly Bear at Alaskan Park

The Alaska Air National Guard rescued a 39-year-old bear-mauling victim at Wrangell-St. Elias Park in Alaska, as seen in footage posted on September 15.

Video posted by DVIDS shows an “Arctic Guardian” rescue team airlifting the victim on September 8.

Local media identified the victim as Jason Long, and said he was attacked by a mother grizzly bear with two cubs. Long, a hunter, was taken to a nearby hospital and local news reported his condition was stable. Credit: DVIDS via Storyful
