Rescued Leopard Cubs Released Into Wildlife Reserve in South Africa
Rescued leopard cubs were released into a “beautiful reserve” after being reared at a South African animal sanctuary since they were babies.
Video posted by Gosia Zdziechowska on her Polish Dr Dolittle YouTube channel shows the leopard cubs running free, after being cared for by the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre.
The center takes in and works with “abandoned, injured and poisoned wildlife,” according to its website.
Zdziechowska told Storyful that the cubs were found without their mother back in September 2020, when they were just months old.
At the center, she said that they were housed in a secluded area with limited human interaction, and received a mixture of milk and meat until they were around six months old.
“From this point they received good quality game meat and smaller mammals to mimic what they will eventually hunt once released,” she said.
