Research 2023 municipal election candidates for Matthews Board of Commissioners

Matthews voters will choose six commissioners and elect at least one new person in the 2023 election.

There are 12 candidates seeking 6 seats on the Board of Commissioners. Incumbent commissioner Larry Whitley is not seeking reelection. Mayor John F. Higdon is seeking reelection and doesn’t have any competition on the ballot.
