It's been mere hours since GMC launched its new Hummer EV pickup, and according to the automaker's website, all reservations for the $112,595 Edition 1 variant—the only version of the truck set to be built in the first year of production—have been spoken for. That was fast.

If you head on over to the truck's dedicated reservation website, you'll see a section claiming reservations for the Edition 1 are full, directing you on how to be added to the waitlist if you desire. If you want to reserve any of the Hummer's other three trims—the earliest of which is set to arrive in fall 2022—those slots are still available as of this writing.

It's worth pointing out that even though all reservation slots are spoken for, that doesn't mean the first year of Hummer production is sold out. These reservations take just $100 to secure, and are fully refundable. It's likely some of these slots will free up as reservation holders decide against going through with a purchase, hence the waitlist.

A GMC spokesperson did not reveal exactly how many Edition 1 Hummers it plans to build when reached by Road & Track via email. The spokesperson also did not disclose how many people were currently on the truck's waitlist.
