Reservations open for ISU Madrigal Feaste

Nov. 14—The Indiana State University School of Music will host its 76th Yuletide Madrigal Feaste in December.

The recreation of the Renaissance feast is set for 7 p.m. three nights — Dec. 7, 8 and 9 at the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 215 N. Seventh Street. The cost is $35 per person.

The meal, catered by Federal Coffee & Fine Foods, will include traditional wassail, cranberry Christmas salad, roasted pork loin, breaded stuffing, roasted red potatoes, green beans, rolls, and black forest cake.

These feasts were known for their pageantry, humor, food and music. The cast will include the ISU Sycamore Singers and Brass Quintet.

"This event should be a highlight of Terre Haute's holiday activities," says Scott Buchanan, ISU Director of Choral Activities. "An evening of wonderful music with singers, period costumes, and exquisite food in a beautiful venue...what more could you ask for to usher in the Christmas season? Be assured that everyone involved in this venture takes great pride in producing an unforgettable evening for our guests, and we look forward to sharing the holiday spirit with them. We encourage folks to make their reservations early, as there are only 64 seats available for each performance."

Reservations can be made by calling 812-237-4590 or purchasing tickets at the choral office in the ISU Landini Center for the Performing and Fine Arts, Room 222. Tickets will be on sale through Nov. 30.
