New Resident Evil movie talks Easter eggs from the game series

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is coming to cinemas soon, and the movie's director has revealed some Easter eggs to look out for.
Adapted from the iconic horror video game series, the film version will bring the games to life with all of the key characters back for the ride.
In a new video released by Sony Pictures, writer and director Johannes Roberts has opened up about the adaptation and how his team tried to keep the visuals loyal to the original games.

"Welcome to Raccoon City is a very faithful adaptation of the Resident Evil games," he explained. "This is where it all started. This is an origin story where we meet all the iconic characters from the games.
"Every frame has details to the game, from the burger that the trucker's eating, to the actual truck design. We built the mansion and police station to the spec of the game. This is a horror movie created with love of the game."
The movie's impressive cast includes Kaya Scodelario (Skins), Avan Jogia (Victorious), Tom Hopper (Umbrella Academy), Lily Gao (The Expanse), Donal Logue (Sons of Anarchy), Arrowverse actors Robbie Amell and Neal McDonough, and Ant-Man and the Wasp's Hannah John-Kamen.
Roberts called the film "an ensemble piece" in which the city itself "plays a big part and is a character in the movie".
The first trailer dropped earlier this month (October 7) and seemed to promise a bright future for the franchise, a far cry from the Milla Jovovich movies.

The official synopsis of the upcoming film reads: "Once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town.
"The company's exodus left the city a wasteland... with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, a group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night."
Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City shuffles its way into cinemas on November 24 in the US and December 3 in the UK.
