Residents of Georgia raise enough funds in 8 days to purchase 200 generators for Ukraine

A total of 1,176 residents of Georgia have already joined in the initiative. The fund-raising effort will last until Dec. 12, and generators should be delivered to Ukraine by Dec. 24.

All of the generators will have stickers with the names of the people who helped buy them.

Prime Minister of Georgia Iraklii Garibashvili announced on Dec. 7 that the country’s government would not provide military aid to Ukraine.

“Regarding military aid, we clearly and unequivocally said that we will not doit. We, as a state, will never get involved in this war. This is our clear position,” said the prime minister.
