Residents Line Up for Clean Water as Rainy Season Flooding Hits India's Assam

Residents in the city of Silchar in Assam, India, lined up for purified water on June 28, after the state was hit by major flooding.

Footage posted by Oxfam India shows people waiting to access a water filter installed by the organization.

According to the Assam Disaster Management Authority, 12 people died due to flooding and landslides on June 29, bringing the death toll to 151 since the rainy season began in April.
