More than 1,500 people were tested for COVID-19 at a drive-through test event on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, on June 29, local news outlet The Island Packet reported.
The testing event was held at Hilton Head Island High School in partnership with Hilton Head Regional Healthcare, Volunteers in Medicine Clinic, the Town of Hilton Head Island Government, and Tom Davis, a Republican member of the South Carolina Senate.
Reports said organizers started with 1,000 tests and requested more after demand proved the need. Lines of vehicles waiting to turn into the school’s campus caused some traffic buildup in the area, the report said. Credit: Hilton Head Regional Healthcare via Storyful
