Residents Report Flash Flooding in Panama City Beach

Hurricane Sally brought flash flooding and damaging winds to cities along the Gulf of Mexico as it made landfall on Wednesday, September 16, local media reported.

This video, shared by Panama City Beach resident Thad Stokes, shows several inches of rain in the street outside his home.

Downed trees, power outages, and damaged infrastructure were reported across the region. Part of a new bridge in Pensacola, Florida, was reportedly missing by Wednesday morning.

As of 10 am on Wednesday, Hurricane Sally was located about 15 miles from Pensacola and packing 80 mph winds, according to the National Hurricane Center. Credit: Thad Stokes via Storyful
