Resources for Beaver Countians near East Palestine train derailment
As some families remain displaced following the derailment in nearby East Palestine, Ohio, tracking down all of the important websites and support groups can be a challenge.
To help Pennsylvania residents keep everything organized, here are a few of the resources available for Pennsylvania residents offered by neighbors, officials and businesses in the region. In addition to these resources, officials from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency have launched a Train Derailment Dashboard, which details important information about the derailment.

Pennsylvania Department of Health Resource Center
Darlington Township Building (3590 Darlington Road.) Open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through March 10Officials available on-site for residents with health concerns from Beaver and Lawrence counties. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture will also be at center to offer residents free, independent water testing and to provide guidance on food and animal safety.

Pennsylvania’s Department of Environmental Protection will contact residents within a 2-mile radius of the train derailment to initiate water testing. Concerned residents who are beyond the 2-mile radius are encouraged to reach out for testing by calling 412-442-4000.
