A new restaurant concept is opening in the former Mercer OTR space this winter.

Crown Restaurant Group owners Anthony and Haley Sitek are opening Five on Vine at 1324 Vine Street in Over-the-Rhine this winter. It will showcase American classics with local produce and fresh ingredients made in the restaurant's from-scratch kitchen.

Menu items will include a half Amish chicken prepared on a rotisserie and glazed with an apricot jus and smoked pork ribs with a sweet and spicy mustard barbeque. It will also offer sides like kale panzanella, mac and cheese and fresh pasta options.

This is the fifth concept for Crown Restaurant Group, which also owns Crown Republic Gastropub, Losanti, Crown Cantina and Rosie's Italian.

“From our humble start with Crown Republic Gastropub on Eighth and Sycamore, we’ve been slowly branching out and putting our own take on different cuisines,” chef and owner Anthony Sitek said in a release. “With our fifth restaurant, Five on Vine, we’re excited to showcase the classics of American cuisine, done the only way we know how; with top-notch hospitality, balanced flavors and from-scratch principles.”
