New restaurant coming to Cherry Grove in North Myrtle Beach. Here’s where it’ll be located

A new restaurant is coming to Cherry Grove in North Myrtle Beach.

Salty Brews is expected to open in March, according to owner and local resident Heather Zanfardino. Zanfardino said the restaurant will serve salads, wraps, nachos, tacos, as well as coffee, beer, wine and mimosas.

Zanfardino also owns the Cha House in North Myrtle Beach, which has been open for nine months, Zanfardino said.

There also will be a sushi corner that will be managed by sushi chef, Michael Roemhildt, owner of Michael’s Kitchen. This will be Roemhildt’s second sushi corner location. He opened another in December at Hwy Nine Grillhouse in Longs.

Construction is underway on the restaurant, which will be located in the former Hot Dog Works spot, across from Boulineau’s on Sea Mountain Highway.

The restaurant will have a “beachy” theme with a white and blue color scheme and deck out front where customers can see the beach, Zanfardino said.

Zanfardino said she decided to open up a second restaurant because “I wanted something closer to the beach.”

She said there are no coffee spots in Cherry Grove and she wanted to provide that service to residents and tourists. “If you were staying in Cherry Grove, where are you going to get a coffee?” Zanfardino said.

In addition, the restaurant will be in walking distance to hotels and the beach for those vacationing.
