New Restaurant Coming Soon To Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield’s first Vietnamese-focused eatery will be opening soon at 80 Post Road in the space formerly occupied by Hunan Pavilion, according to westfaironline.com. Phil Hall of westfaironline reports that the restaurant, Phở Nha Trang, will be unique to Fairfield in that it will be the first eatery to concentrate on Vietnam’s cuisine, including 13 Phở selections along with fried or steam rice entrees.

According to the Phở Nha Trang website, Phở or pho is a “Vietnamese soup consisting of broth, rice noodles called bánh phở, a few herbs, and meat, primarily made with either beef or chicken. Pho is a popular street food in Vietnam and the specialty of a number of restaurant chains around the world.” (To sign up for Fairfield breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Phở Nha Trang originally planned to open in October but has been delayed due to some technical issues with the exhaust fan system, according to its website.

“The exhaust system is in dire need of a replacement of the entire system,” the post reads. “As a result we are now have to prolong the opening date until we are completely ready.”
