Restaurant Inspections: Sushi eatery in Lake Worth Beach among local eateries briefly closed

Six Palm Beach County restaurants were shut down after failing their state restaurant inspections.

Boca Raton

Le Sorelle, 6020 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton was ordered closed after an inspection Feb. 7.

It had four high-priority, three intermediate and three basic violations.

The high-priority violations included presence of insects.

The restaurant made the necessary corrections and reopened the next day on Feb. 8. The manager said that several air conditioning units on the roof of the plaza were being replaced during the time of the inspection and that could account for the problem.

Hotdog-Opolis, 6020 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton, was ordered closed after an inspection Feb. 8.

It had one high-priority, one intermediate and one basic violation.

The high-priority violation was presence of pests.

The eatery made the corrections and reopened the same day.The restaurant's owner said that the problem was the fault of the building's owner and that he has fixed the situation.

Boynton Beach

Chez Elda Take Out Restaurant, 544 E. Gateway Blvd., Boynton Beach, was ordered closed after an inspection Feb. 9.

It had two high-priority, one intermediate and three basic violations .

The high-priority violations included presence of insects.

The restaurant corrected all violations and reopened the Feb. 11.

Lake Worth

Oka Sushi & Thai in Lake Worth Beach, was one of six Palm Beach County restaurants that were briefly closed following their latest health inspection. The eatery made the necessary corrections and reopened the next day.

West Palm Beach

Khyber Kabab House, 4422 Forest Hill Blvd., West Palm Beach, was ordered closed after an inspection Feb. 7.

It had two high-priority and two basic violations.

The high-priority violations included presence of insects.

The restaurant corrected all violations and reopened the next day on Feb. 8.

Loxahatchee

Kabayan Oriental Mart, 14585 Southern Blvd., Loxahatchee, was ordered closed after an inspection Feb. 10.

It had five high-priority and one basic violation.

The high-priority violations included presence of small, flying insects.

The eatery made the necessary corrections and reopened on Feb. 12.
