By now, you know about the devastating bushfires in Australia. From starting fundraisers on Facebook to going as far as selling nudes, people have raised money to help out in a variety of ways...with no lack of creativity. The latest innovative fundraising effort involves an Italian restaurant that served up a pizza almost as long as a football field.

The glorious pizza is the creation of Pellegrini’s, an Italian restaurant in Australia’s New South Wales. They cooked up a Margherita pizza more than 300 feet long, then debuted it at an event the restaurant set up to commemorate the record-breaking masterpiece and the opening of the restaurant. All of the proceeds went to New South Wales Rural Fire Service, according to Reuters.

How in the world did they pull this off? It took four hours, weeks of planning, and days of practice to bring the work of art to life, according to one food-focused Instagrammer. The pizza was crafted using 3-foot-long sheets of dough that were pieced together and covered with tomato sauce and mozzarella. After it was baked using a conveyor oven, it was seasoned with basil leaves, oregano, and olive oil. Voilá! You, too, can casually craft a super long pizza following those easy steps!

They also did a giveaway asking people to guess how much flour was used in the making of this insanely large pizza. It unfortunately ended yesterday, but can you guess? They haven’t revealed how much yet, but word on the street is more than 800 pounds of dough were used!

If all Italian restaurants wanted to have opening parties like this, I’d support it.
