This new restaurant only sells milkshakes and French fries, and we are fine with that
It is an inarguable fact, and your 8-year-old self would agree: Two of the most delicious items on this planet are milkshakes and fries.
Good to know, then, that there’s a new spot that serves both of them almost exclusively.
No. You’re not dreaming.
Holyshakes opened recently in Doral, and while there are a handful of other items on the menu - namely coffee because you’re going to need it to avert the oncoming sugar crash - shakes and fries are the focus.
These shakes are not your basic vanilla or chocolate flavor (although you can have that if you want, Mr. Boring). The Creamy Cookies shake is a cookies and cream shake with a rim covered in vanilla frosting and crushed Oreo, topped with a chocolate donut tower and a silky Oreo “creampeak” and topped with a cookie.
There’s also the Cocada, a creamy coconut shake with a vanilla frosted rim with toasted coconut flakes, topped with a passionfruit ice pop, sour passion fruit jellycubes, vanilla cream, coconut chips and edible flowers.
Shall we go on? Miami fruit lovers can order a Tropical Blitz, a mango smoothie with sour tamarind, a lime peaks rim, chili sugar topped with lime cotton candy, mint sauce, chili powder and edible flowers. The mind reels.
But let’s not forget the salty end of the spectrum. Holyshakes offers a choice of twisted baked fries or sweet potato baked fries. Toppings include pulled pork, carne asada, truffle and cheese and buffalo chicken. There’s also a vegan option.
“It’s been two years since we came up with the idea of creating the experience of tasting gourmet shakes in a shop full of neon signs, fun games and enticing colors,” owner Maria Corina Salama said in a press release. “Our goal was to create a cool and unique experience that will charm and impress visitors of all ages. We hope you’ll enjoy this place as much as we are enjoying this journey along with our loved ones.”
