New restaurant opens this week in Caldwell with special drive-thru lane. They’re hiring
Canyon County’s fast-food scene will get a little spicier this week.
A little more efficient, too.
Chipotle Mexican Grill will open its first Caldwell restaurant on Tuesday. The store is at 5005 Cleveland Blvd.
If you’re familiar with the Chipotle model, you know what you’re getting. Solid, fast-casual food from a proven, global chain. But this store also will be equipped with a Chipotlane — a special window where customers can pick up digital orders without leaving their vehicles. You can customize a burrito or salad on your phone or computer, paying in advance. Then pull into the Chipotlane and grab the grub with maximum efficiency.
The first Chipotlane in the Treasure Valley appeared in late 2021 at a new Boise location. This one in Caldwell will be the fourth Chipotlane in the greater Boise area, according to a media release.
The restaurant is open from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. And, by the way, they’re hiring. That goes for Chipotles pretty much everywhere, the media release wants Idaho to know.
If you’re looking for a recommendation about what to eat? Newsflash: Customer favorite carne asada is back on the menu for a limited time.
“For guests trying carne asada for the first time and passionate carne asada fans alike,” a media release says, “Chipotle’s Head Chef Nevielle Panthaky recommends a Carne Asada Quesadilla with fajita veggies and sides of cilantro lime white rice, black beans, and sour cream for dipping.”
Chipotlane, here we come.
