A new restaurant is set to open in Waterloo. Here’s a taste of what’s on the menu

A new restaurant opens in Waterloo on Monday, Aug. 7.

Hiko Japanese Steak, Sushi & Ramen will serve up some … well, the name of the place pretty much speaks for itself.

The menu on the restaurant’s Facebook page shows six different Ramen dishes, four bento box options, appetizers, hibachi dishes and a whole lot of sushi.

The menu also shows that lunch prices are good for some items from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Kids meals, desserts, boba and bubble teas are also listed on the menu.

I was not yet able to get in touch with the owner(s) to glean more information. However, when I do, I’ll provide an update.

Hiko Japanese Steak, Sushi & Ramen is located at 951 N. Illinois 3 in Waterloo in the former location of Wicked Smoke.

Doors open at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 7, according to an Aug. 4 post on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
