Grand Cru Food & Wine in Lumina Station is closed. Paul Kirwan, one of the owners, confirmed the eatery that specialized in small plates and cocktails and wine, closed at the end of August.

"We thank all of our patrons and will let everyone know when and where we will be opening a new shop," he said.

The closure comes as another restaurant in the area, located across Eastwood Road, also closed. Artisano Pizza & Gelato shuttered and will soon be home to a relocated Platypus & Gnome.

Lumina Station is home to restaurants such as Port Land Grille and Brasserie du Soliel. Last year, Kipos Hellenic Cuisine and Blueberry’s Grill opened there, too.

Grand Cru joined Lumina Station in 2016, a project of restaurateur Steve West, who is also a part of N2 Publishing. Since then, West opened 3315 Cut & Pour with partner Russell Snyder and Riverside Kitchen & Bar (just a few weeks ago) in Castle Hayne's River Bluffs community.

Grand Cru, meanwhile, became a project of Kirwan and his partners. They held a grand re-opening celebration last year.
