Restaurants across Vermont will offer Easter brunch

Though snow may be lingering in large parking lot piles, spring is in the air and Easter and Passover are near. Plans for making deviled eggs, hot cross buns, glazed ham and lamb may already be in place for some Vermonters.

For those who don't feel like making a mess in their kitchen though, heading to a restaurant serving brunch might be a nice treat. Check out these eight restaurants across Vermont serving up brunch this Easter Sunday with classic and creative menus to please all pallets.

Waterworks

Winooski's Waterworks will offer a brunch buffet featuring ham with honey mustard, quiche, fruit, pastries, wraps, salads and other classic breakfast items. Lemon squares, petit fours and Peeps are on the dessert menu. Cocktails including mimosas and Bloody Marys will also be offered. Vegan and gluten free options will be available.

Johnny Seesaw's

If you're in Southern Vermont, the restaurant at Seesaw's Lodge near Bromley Mountain Ski Resort will have an Easter brunch with all the classics and some fancy additions. For entrees, guests can order carved ham, lamb, crab cakes, beet-cured salmon with dill cream sauce or spicy maple-glazed chicken and waffles. A salad bar as well as quiche and shrimp cocktail will also be offered.

Railroad & Main

Newly relocated to Williston from Essex Junction, Railroad & Main will be serving savory and sweet entrees for Easter brunch. Not a sweet tooth? Get a rosemary and roasted garlic scramble, maple-glazed ham, or garden harvest egg benedict. Sweet breakfast enthusiasts will enjoy the banana caramel pancake or French toast stuffed with shipped cream cheese and berries.

Jericho Cafe and Tavern

Jericho Cafe and Tavern or JCaTs will welcome guests for Easter brunch with plenty of menu options. Highlights include a bagel and lox platter, three different house made quiches, beef tenderloin and salmon with lemon and dill vinaigrette. If you're a traditionalist, you'll be pleased to know there's also honey glazed ham with maple mustard and classic eggs benedict on the menu as well.

Windjammer

It wouldn't be Easter without deviled eggs and Windjammer agrees. The restaurant's Easter brunch menu is simple and straightforward: deviled eggs stuffed with crab and bacon for an appetizer and three different entrees. Get lamb stew served over rosemary mashed potatoes, seafood stuffed sole with a lemon chive hollandaise sauce or ham brined in rosemary and apple cider with a cheddar cream sauce and fried leeks.

1824 House

Located at the 1824 House Inn + Barn in Waitsfield, this restaurant will offer an Easter and Passover brunch April 9. Guests can order an assortment of entrees: roast leg of lamb, smoked salmon, chopped liver, ham or corned beef. French toast, potato pancakes, salads and dessert including lemon and chocolate tarts will also be on the menu.

Remember Baker Bistro at West Mountain Inn

If you're spending Easter in Southwest Vermont there's a creative buffet lined up at the West Mountain Inn's restaurant. New takes on spring classics include grilled salmon cakes with a roasted pepper and dill sauce, crab and asparagus quiche, a tortellini salad with rock shrimp, roasted tomatoes, kalamata olives and basil and a homefry casserole. Sweets include apple cinnamon French toast, fresh muffins and pastries and homemade desserts.

Delicate Decadence Bakery

Barre's Delicate Decadence Bakery will have sweet Easter classics including carrot cake and hot cross buns at their brunch. Highlights from the savory end of the menu include cherry-bourbon glazed ham, chicken and mostaccioli, a tomato, scallion and cream cheese bagel bake, and a leek and gruyere gallate. Brie and apple tart, lemon mascarpone cake and banana pudding also grace the dessert menu.
