What restaurants and grocery stores are open Thanksgiving Day in Dickson County?

Several on-the-go and sit-down restaurants remain open for Thanksgiving Day, but specific store hours may vary between locations. Well known spots include Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Starbucks and Waffle House.

Dickson's Plantation Buffet will be open from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at 237 Beasley Dr.

Ruby Tuesday, at 140 Suzanne Drive in Dickson, will be open from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.

And Shoney’s will be open from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. Thanksgiving lunch service begins at 11 a.m. at 101 Mathis Drive in Dickson.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store begins breakfast at 7 a.m. The restaurant's traditional lunch menu and Thanksgiving Day only Turkey N’ Dressing spread with homestyle sides and pumpkin pie – now available for preorder – runs from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.

The Heat N’ Serve Feast comes with everything you need for Thanksgiving dinner and goes from home oven to table in two hours. It is available for preorder to be picked up between Nov. 18 and Nov. 25 at 115 Gum Branch Road in Dickson.

For those who may be traveling or craving a pumpkin spice latte, most Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks locations will be open Thanksgiving Day. Most Dunkin Donuts will be open from 4 a.m. until 1 p.m. including the Dickson location at 105 Mathis Dr.

Cooking linner (a meal that falls between lunch and dinner) for a dozen or more people can be daunting and produce an enormous amount of dirty dishes. So, grabbing breakfast out could seem like a good option for some folks.

Breakfast spots like Denny's, IHOP and Waffle House are all open on Thanksgiving Day.

Waffle House will be open for 24 hours on Thanksgiving Day in Dickson at 2321 TN-46 and 300 Henslee Dr.

Applebees, Buffalo Wild Wings, Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, Demo's Restaurant, Chili's Grill and Bar, O'Charley's Restaurant and Bar, Logan's Roadhouse, LongHorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden Italian Restaurant, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Five Guys and many more restaurants will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Even if you plan on eating Thanksgiving Dinner at home, ingredients can run out or be forgotten, altogether. Know where to go in a pinch on Thanksgiving Day?

Several grocery stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day, but some may have limited hours. Here's what to know about local and chain grocery stores in the area.

Dollar General: All Dollar General stores in the county, including one in Burns (2102 TN-96), one in Charlotte (3380 Highway 48 N), seven in Dickson (2106 TN-46 S, 225 N. Main St, 910 Hwy 70 E, 268 Beasley Dr, 3006 and 4610 Hwy 70 W and 2901 State Hwy 48) one in Vanleer (4520 TN-49 W) and one in White Bluff (4301 E Highway 70) will be open from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.

Murphy's CB Foods: The Charlotte location at 3426 Highway 48 N will be open from 7 a.m. until noon.

Chappell's Hometown Foods: The Dickson (990 Pomona Road and 691 US-70) and White Bluff (2005 TN-47) locations will be open from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Kroger: The Dickson location at 143 Henslee Drive will be open from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m. The pharmacy will be closed Thanksgiving Day.

Aldi, Costco, Publix, Sam's Club, Target, Walmart and other grocery stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, allowing store associates a chance to spend the holiday with loved ones, officials said.
