Restaurants offer free food for kids (and other cool stuff for the family that’s totally gratis)

There’s one four-letter word begining with a “f” that people just love hearing these days: Free.

That’s just what’s going on with these summertime restaurant offers. Plus, we’ve added some events where the youngest members of your family can score admission on the house.

But first up, you can’t beat free eats, so here’s some restaurant deals your family needs in your lives.

Legends Tavern and Grille restaurants has a “Kids Eat Free” offer on Tuesdays and Sundays through Sunday, Aug. 16. You must buy one adult entrée to get one free kids meal. And yes, this works for dine-in or takeout. There are four locations in Broward County. For more information, go to LegendsTavernAndGrille.com.

TooJay’s Deli has a “Kids Eat Free” deal through Friday, July 31, where children age 12 and under get one free meal from the kid’s menu — either breakfast, lunch or dinner — with each paid adult entrée. There are 12 locations in Broward and Palm Beach counties. To get the coupon, go to https://bit.ly/3h5VJHr.

Pincho restaurants want you to be able to send some love to your friends without breaking any social distancing rules. Their answer to all of that is the “I Want to Hug You” campaign where you can send some affection via a redeemable coupon for a free fried cheese. You can give this ersatz hug to up to three people through Friday, July 31. You can even send it to yourself. There are eight locations in Broward and Miami-Dade counties. To start hungry hugging, fill out the information at IWantToHugYou.com.

This month “Montage - A Virtual Film Series” is screening the short flick “Pick,” which follows a high schooler named Alliyah who decides she wants to sport a natural Afro for class photo day.
