Whether you're looking for a special night out to bring family and guests, or just a break from cooking, there are plenty of places to get great food around Fayetteville this Christmas and New Year's season.
Some restaurants are open on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve or New Year's Day, while others — including several supermarkets — are offering family-style meals to go, just like they did for Thanksgiving.

Agora Mediterranean Restaurant
Address: 107 Person St., Fayetteville
This downtown Greek spot will be open normal hours on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. See more info.
Carlie C's
The independent supermarket chain is repeating its Thanksgiving meals: a 9-to-11 pound roasted turkey or 7-to-9-pound ham, with a side of stuffing and giblet gravy, for $39.99; all that, plus green beans, candied yams and a dozen dinner rolls, for $55.99; or all of the sides, with both the turkey and ham, for $75.99. The downtown restaurant will be open regular hours on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. From Dec. 30 to Jan. 2, it'll be featuring a special menu of favorite dishes from past menus. See more info.
Cracker Barrel
Addresses: 1470 Skibo Road and 1625 Jim Johnson Road, Fayetteville
While popular for its Thanksgiving Day dinners, Cracker Barrel is closed on Christmas Day. The country-style chain does offer heat-and-eat ham and prime rib meals that can be ordered online and picked up as late as 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve. See more info.
Elizabeth's Pizza
Address: 2468 Hope Mills Road, Fayetteville
The Italian restaurant and pizzeria will be open for dine-in and take-out on both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve from noon to 8 p.m. See more info.
Fayetteville Pie Company
Address: 253 Westwood Shopping Center, Fayetteville
The pie shop will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day, but it'll be open on New Year's Eve. It's also open for Christmas pre-orders, including the seasonal apple-cranberry, cherry amaretto crisp and peppermint crunch pies. Orders must be in by Dec. 20, and pies must be picked up by 2 p.m. Dec. 23. See more info.
Fresh Market
Address: 230 Glensford Drive, Fayetteville
Just like it did for Thanksgiving, the Greensboro-based Fresh Market with locations in Fayetteville and Southern Pines, is offering a range of full takeout meals ($69.99 to $89.99) as well as a la carte turkey and ham options. They also have brunch deals ($25), which include quiche, muffins, bacon, fresh fruit and orange juice. See more info at thefreshmarket.com.
Gusto Napoletano
Address: 2711 Raeford Road, Fayetteville
This Neapolitan pizzeria is offering a number of Italian sweets, including cheesecake, Italian cookies and struffoli, a traditional Italian dessert of fried dough balls sweetened with a honey glaze. Order by Dec. 18.
Hungry for pizza? They'll be open until 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve, as well as regular hours on Dec. 31. The restaurant is closed on Christmas, Dec. 26 and New Year's Day. Visit them on Facebook.
Harris Teeter
Harris Teeter is offering the same deals it did for Thanksgiving, including both turkey and ham dinners ($59.99 to $79.99), as well as meals for four ($44.99) and two ($24.99) that include turkey or ham and a choice of four sides. Stores will be closed on Christmas Day, so make sure to pick up your meal by Christmas Eve. See more info.

Joe's will be open on Christmas, from 1 to 10 p.m. and on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. See more info.

Metro Diner is offering both individual and family-sized heat-and-eat turkey and ham dinners for Christmas. Individual dinners are $15.99, while family-sized meals are $59.99 for four people and $115.49 for eight people. Christmas orders must be placed by 8 p.m. on Dec. 23. Known for its farm-to-table soul food and barbecue, Smoked Fresh will be open from noon to 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
