Happy hump day, Cincinnati. Keith Pandolfi here, food and dining writer at The Enquirer.

As part of my job, I spend a lot of my time driving around Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky in my dented Subaru checking out new restaurants or, in some cases, visiting restaurants I’ve long been curious about. During the past two weeks, those drives have really paid off.

Along with an outstanding country cafe in Butler, Kentucky, I also visited a brand new Spanish tapas spot in Ludlow and a darn good burger stand in East Walnut Hills.
