Retired Army pilot to talk about his Vietnam War experiences

WEYMOUTH – Retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Joseph Tallon will talk about his Vietnam War experiences at local libraries and a bookstore.

Along with his son Matthew Tallon, of Weymouth, Tallon is the author of "100 Days in Vietnam: A Memoir of Love, War and Survival." The book recounts Tallon's tour as an Army pilot in Vietnam, the crash that nearly killed him and his long road to recovery.

Tallon will speak at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the main branch of the Thomas Crane Library, 40 Washington St. in Quincy.

On Wednesday, Nov. 10, he will speak at 7 p.m. at the Tufts Library, 46 Broad St. in Weymouth.

Thursday's stop is at 6:30 p.m. at Buttonwood Books, 747 Chief Justice Cushing Highway in Cohasset.

His final local appearance will be at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Sharon Public Library, 11 N. Main St.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase at each appearance.
