Retired federal judge gets fined and barred for 2016 anti-Republican comments

The U.S. Office of Special Counsel ruled against Carmene ‘Zsa Zsa’ DePaolo, a former immigration judge, for comments she made during a 2016 immigration hearing. Her comments reflected her beliefs that a Clinton administration would do more for immigration reform. She was fined the maximum possible civil penalty of $1,000 and slapped with a 30-month debarment from federal service.
