Retirement community expansion breaks ground

Officials from South Palm Beach County’s Jewish community hosted a ceremonial groundbreaking for a new building at the retirement community Toby & Leon Cooperman Sinai Residences Boca Raton.

The retirement community is operated by Federation CCRC Development, a subsidiary of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, and managed by Life Care Services. It first opened in 2016 and is located on the Federation’s campus.

The new building is expected to be completed by spring 2022 and will feature 111 independent living apartments. The expansion is also expected to include a resort-style pool, new hot tub, indoor/outdoor bar, poolside dining, cabanas, two new dining venues, movie theater, card room, auditorium, extra storage unit for each apartment, covered garage for parking and valet parking.

“We are continuing to see great demand from homeowners in country club communities who are looking to downsize without compromising their comfort,” said Mel Lowell, the Federation’s chief operating officer, in a news release. “These individuals are seeking the larger size apartments, luxurious lifestyle and popular amenities that Sinai Residences offer. We are confident our new phase will meet the needs of our residents' even more.”

Although the retirement community is guided by Jewish faith and heritage, it serves people of all religions, beliefs and cultures. Visit SinaiResidences.com for more information.
