- A retiring Haverford Township school employee was honored today.

- And it was all kept a secret until the big moment. The community came out to give well wishes to Mr. George Ramplin. He's retiring from the district after 41 years. Most recently, he served as transportation director. Mr. Ramplin said the attention was a complete surprise.

GEORGE RAMPLIN: I never expected any of this. I just wanted to go out the way I came in-- unnoticed.

I failed at that.

- The district says at one time, George was a bus driver himself. His first job for the district was as a mechanic. Congratulations, sir. And may the next phase be your best phase. That's great.
