‘Return of the King’ beer celebrates Charles’ coronation

STORY: A British brewery has created

a new beer called ‘Return of the King’

to celebrate King Charles' coronation

Locator: Windsor, England

“The name itself really came from a realization that for the last thousand years, from the, 1066 onwards, we probably had about 850 years of kings. But of course, in my lifetime, in most the lifetime of the people in this country, we've had a queen. And it takes a bit of getting used to, to go from saying the queen to saying the king. So we wanted to recognize that it was a milestone, about returning to saying the king in all our pronouncements that when we sing the national anthem.”

The beer is made from organic ingredients

“We've chosen to create a design for the beer that reflects two things. It reflects a lifetime of devotion, a duty to the country, but also a lifetime of passionate support for the environment.”
