She and her husband plan to move to the St. Louis area near one son’s family as soon as their home sells. Rev. Paula has served as the priest for eleven and one half years, faithfully leading the congregation in moves from spaces in other churches to the Engelhorns’ sunroom to their current location on University Drive.

The church is grateful that The Rev. Dr. Joyce Beaulieu is serving as an extended supply priest. She has attended Good Shepherd since 2015.

Joyce was born and reared on her family's century farm in Henderson County, IL. Always interested in health services for underserved populations, she received a PhD in health systems organization (U. of Michigan). She did research, teaching, and service at the University of Kentucky for 18 years, concentrating on rural health services.

After serving in several lay capacities in her home parish in Lexington, she entered the call to the priesthood to study at Bexley-Seabury, Chicago, and was ordained in 2007. Joyce has served primarily in small and rural parishes in Kentucky and Illinois. Now retired, she lives back on her family farm with her wife, Molly Lovelock, and has filled in as supply priest in Galesburg, Burlington (Episcopal and Lutheran churches), and Macomb. Joyce continued her health services interest by joining the board of the Henderson county rural health system for a two-year stint.
