Revealed! The are the 10 most attractive streets in the UK
The prettiest streets in the UK have been named, after new research found which are the most aesthetically pleasing to the human eye.
According to estate agent comparison site GetAgent, Edinburgh's Circus Lane is the most attractive street in the UK, thanks to its colourful front doors, cobbled streets and hanging baskets filled with flowers. Scooping second place is The Circus, famed for its traditional Grade I Listed townhouses that were designed to look like buildings in Rome.
Unsurprisingly, Arlington Row in the Cotswolds also made the top 10. Originally built in the 14th century as a monastic wool store, the pretty set of honey-coloured, Grade I Listed cottages are often voted the prettiest in all of England — and we can see why.
"Completing the top three most attractive British streets is the infamous Gold Hill, a cobbled street located in Shaftesbury and famous across the country as the filming location for the iconic Hovis 'Boy on Bike' advert that it's synonymous with," say GetAgent. "Study participants stared at a picture of Gold Hill for 3.4 seconds each, on average, and the image received 348 views overall."
