Reward offered in cold case murder of man at Santa Claus Mini Mart

It has been eight years since a Toombs County man was shot and killed in a robbery at a gas station.

Investigators are hoping the community could give them information about the 2014 death of Chris Wiggins that could lead to an arrest.

Wiggins was robbed, shot, and killed on June 9, 2014 at the Santa Claus Mini Mart gas station and convenience store. The robbery happened in Toombs County along U.S. Highway 1 at December Drive in Santa Claus, Georgia.

The GBI, Eastman Field Office and Toombs County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in gathering any information that could lead to an arrest.

The Sheriff’s Office is offering up to a $7,500 reward for information leading to an arrest.
