Quote from Reznikov: "Since 24 February, the Ministry of Defence has delivered up to fifty ‘planes’ to our military. Several more have already been contracted and paid for by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, and we expect them in July."

Details: The Minister said the Baykar Makina plant had received an order from the Ministry of Defence to manufacture dozens of drones for the needs of the defenders.

Reznikov added that today Bayraktar is a respected member of the "ammunition club" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Previously:

  • TV presenter and volunteer Serhii Prytula and blogger Ihor Lachenkov launched a fundraising campaign asking Ukrainians to raise 450 million hryvnias [around US$15 million US] for three Bayraktar UAVs. However, the Ukrainians managed [to collect all the money] in 3 days, donating enough for four drones rather than the three that were planned.

  • The manufacturer of Bayraktar drones was so touched by the Ukrainians’ solidarity in raising funds that it decided to donate the drones for free.
