Production for The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s 16th season is said to begin filming soon but casting is also reportedly delayed. Multiple media outlets have reported in recent months that a major shakeup is on the way as ratings and fan outcry for better storylines and genuine friendships among the ladies are needed. OG cast members have also complained about stale and forced storylines and alleged favoritism from production with certain co-stars. Either way, The Jasmine Brand reports that the network isn’t looking to bring back several of its current cast members.

Who will be cast in season 15 of 'RHOA'?

The report notes that filming for the upcoming season isn’t even set to begin until Spring 2024. Inside sources tell the outlet that it is highly likely that no more than three current peach holders will be offered a return contract. Season 15’s cast included OGss Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Sheree Whitfield, longtime cast member and newer full-time housewife Marlo Hampton, and recent newbies Sanya Richards-Ross and Drew Sidora. Sidora joined the cast in Season 13, with Richards-Ross joining the following season. Many fans have complained about Hampton since her casting after being a friend of the show for a decade.

The Jasmine Brand previously reported that because of a small budget, fans shouldn’t expect Bravo to add well-known Atlanta-based celebrities and socialites to the cast as done in earlier seasons. Instead, the network is looking to cut costs by casting rising socialites.

Have Drew Sidora and Sanya Richards-Ross been let go from 'RHOA'?

Fans noticed Sidora and Richards-Ross removed the show from their social media bios. Sidora took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to claim she never had it listed.  Richards-Ross also added the show’s hashtag back to her account. It’s also important to note that Sidora was not at BravoCon 2023. Richards-Ross was in attendance but primarily spoke about her pregnancy. She’s due to give birth in December.
