PROVIDENCE, RI — Rhode Island Comic Con will not be held this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event's organizers announced Monday. The annual event has been rescheduled to next summer.

"You heard right, you get Rhode Island Comic Con twice in 2021!" the statement said.

Tickets and artist spaces already purchased for this year's event will be honored on the new dates: June 18 to 20, 2021. Along with Rhode Island Comic Con Summer Edition/Terror Con in June, regular Comic Con will be held at the Rhode Island Convention Center Nov. 5 to 7, 2021, as previously scheduled.

More information is forthcoming.
