“It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my dear friend Rhonda Stubbins White,” Baker writes. “She was an amazingly talented woman, full of positivity and energy, and grounded by her faith. We were all fortunate to have known her and shared her short time on this earth.”

Born in Brooklyn, White attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in the 1980s before relocating to Los Angeles. By the early- to mid-1990s she was booking roles on such series as Here and Now, starring Malcolm-Jamal Warner and S. Epatha Merkerson, Roc, Laurel Avenue, Homicide: Life on the Street, NYPD Blue and ER.

In 2000, White recurred as “Lady Vi” on Days of Our Lives, and followed that with numerous guest roles on series through the 2000s, including Southland, The Comeback and Crossing Jordan.

Most recently, she recurred on Ruthless throughout 2020-21 as Agnes.

Full information on survivors was not immediately available.
