A new season, a new Teresa Giudice?

On the Season 13 premiere of Bravo's “The Real Housewives of New Jersey," Teresa stated her intent is to change her reactive ways.

“I had my certain ways I lived life by,” said Teresa, live and in a confessional during the show on Tuesday, Feb. 7. “My dad was like that. When he got angry he got active in a scary way. If he thought he was right about something, that's it. You could never say it was blue instead of red. No, it's always blue. I'm just like him — I always react.

“I don't want to do that,” said Teresa, who added that she's in therapy.

Fellow castmember Margaret Josephs came over to Teresa's Montville home on the episode to settle any lingering antagonism left over from last season. Teresa was upset with her when she voiced concerns about the background of Louie Ruelas, Teresa's fiancé.

Teresa let Margaret speak her piece.

“You’re a grudge holder,” Margaret said.

“I’m not anymore,” Teresa responded. “I’m not anymore. I’m working on myself.”

The two are friends again, thanks to Teresa’s openness.

“I’m being honest,” she said. “I'm being raw as a cucumber.”

New Teresa, same old malaprops.

Achieving a detente with sister-in-law Melissa Gorga, married to brother Joey Gorga, might be a little more troublesome. She's not in Teresa's upcoming bridal party, and Louie seems especially irked by the couple.

“It's childish,” said Louie of Joey. “It's selfish, it's weak, it's immature. His insecurities are just screaming.”

“I mean, yeah!” Teresa said.

Teresa and Melissa have had a complex relationship on the show for the past 10 years that's now at a very low point.

“I thought her having Louie, I thought she would be so happy,” Melissa said. “Instead she's more nasty than ever and I just don't get it.”

Tuesday's episode introduced new Housewives Rachel Fuda of Franklin Lakes and Danielle Cabral of Sayreville, and “friend” Jennifer Fessler of Upper Saddle River. The show also featured an '80s themed roller-skating party at a Staten Island roller rink, hosted by Melissa, and a sexy calendar photo shoot featuring the husbands and boyfriends.

Joe Benigno, Margaret's husband, doesn't exactly have a six pack.

“I love a guy with a little stomach,” Margaret said. “I don't want anybody skinnier than me in my bed.”

Bad feelings are still lingering between Jennifer Aydin and Dolores Catania, part of the fallout from last season's intrigue over the rumored infidelity of Jackie Goldschneider's husband.

“You and I don't agree on what a friend is,” Dolores said the Jennifer.

“We totally don't,” Jennifer replied. “I'm nice, you're not. We're good.”

It sounds like they're not so good.

“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” airs at 9 p.m. ET Tuesdays on Bravo.
