Teresa Giudice is a big personality with, frankly, a big temper.

She's trying to change that, as witnessed on the Tuesday, March 14, episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” on Bravo. Teresa, and a camera crew, met with therapist Tegan Sorvino-Quille in her Short Hills office for a session.

She wants to reign her temper in.

“I guess that was my way of fixing the problem,” Teresa said. “You know, lashing out.”

Her lashing out has made NBC Universal lots of money and Teresa a reality TV star.

“I guess my delivery is not the way it always should be,” said Teresa in a confessional while a montage of her table flipping and glass throwing was shown. “(Sorvino-Quille's) teaching me how to approach things differently, and now I do communicate more.”

Teresa's fiance, Louie Ruelas, suggested therapy. For Teresa, the temper issue is a family thing.

“Growing up, my father and my cousin didn't talk for six years over $200,” Teresa said. “That was no joke. Very strong, very stubborn. He never told me he loved me. I told Gia (her daughter) to start saying I love you to my parents and then that's how they a started saying 'I love you.' ”

The way of the parent does not have to be the way of the child.

A big storyline on the current season is the invitation status of Joey and Melissa Gorga, Teresa's brother and sister-in-law, to Teresa's wedding to Louie.

Joey and Melissa feel snubbed because Melissa wasn't asked to be in the bridal party. Teresa felt snubbed when Gorga's daughter, Antonia, didn't attend her daughter Milania's Sweet 16 party.

“(Joey) was like, 'Oh, it's a cheering competition' and Milania was so hurt,” Teresa said.

Joey reminds Teresa of their father, and that's not necessarily a good thing.

“Being around my brother scares me,” Teresa said. “His temper is out of control. Banging the table scares me.”

Tables are apparently an issue with Gorgas.

“When you were a kid, looking at your dad, you were petrified so that's a triggering feeling,” Sorvino-Quille said.

“All this toxicity hurts,” Teresa said.

The toxicity was low and the teamwork was high later in the show as the cast played health care workers and hospital staff of Maimonides Health in a charity softball game at Maimonides Park in Brooklyn.

The game actually took place in June. The Real Housewives team won in a come-from-behind victory.

They were on their best behavior.

“I am going to do whatever I can to make this charitable event hormonious,” said Jennifer Aydin. “Sorry, harmonious. Hormonious would make it bad and I would be screaming and yelling at everybody, which we don't want.”
