RI man dies Monday night in Stonington, Conn., motorcycle crash

A 55-year-old Rhode Island man died when the motorcycle he was riding left Interstate 95 in Connecticut and hit a guardrail Monday night, the Connecticut State Police said.

George A. Werrbach, of 245 Ross Hill Road, Charlestown, was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle north in Stonington around 11:36 p.m. when the motorcycle went off the side of the road just north of Exit 91, the state police said in a report.

The Connecticut State Police are asking anyone who saw the crash to contact the barracks in Montville at 860-848-6500.
