Woo!

The People’s Champion and The Nature Boy are collaborating outside of the ring for a new project.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson revealed his production company is working on a biopic on WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Ric Flair.

Johnson revealed the news in a post to Instagram on Wednesday.

“As a wild kid, who grew up in the wild world of professional wrestling, I idolized, ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair. He was one of my heroes,” Johnson wrote in his caption. “Once I broke into the wrestling business and began to spill my own sweat and blood in arenas across America – my reverence for Ric turned to great respect. Because I realized just how rare and almost impossible it is to truly disrupt the wrestling business, and truly change the game – and that’s exactly what Ric Flair did.”

Johnson and Flair go way back.

The WWE superstar-turned-actor said he’s known the North Carolina native since he was just 8 years old. Flair wrestled with the “Red Notice” actor’s father, Rocky “Soulman” Johnson, in the National Wrestling Alliance.

The project is being put together by Johnson’s production company, Seven Bucks Productions, and Kevin Misher of Misher Films.

The two previously worked together in the 2019 film “Fighting with My Family.”

The Teremana Tequila founder explained that while Flair is a wrestling legend, getting there was no easy feat.

“Ric Flair had a relentless passion to be the greatest of all time, but with achieving that GOAT status – he also sacrificed it all and paid a heavy price. And lived to tell the story.”

Johnson said he “can’t wait to tell (Flair’s) unbelievable story.”

“Thank you for the house, Ric.”

Flair is also excited about the film.

He posted a message to X, formerly Twitter, about the upcoming film.

“Thank You The Rock For This Incredible Opportunity,” he wrote. “Your Friendship means the world to me! This is truly the dream of a lifetime! WOOOO!”
