Ricciardi Announces For New Hampshire State Senate 9

Denise Ricciardi, currently serving as vice chairwoman of the Bedford Town Council, has recently announced she will run for the NH Senate in district 9 which includes the towns of Bedford, Dublin, Fitzwilliam, Greenfield, Hancock, Jaffrey, Lyndeborough, Mont Vernon, New Boston, Peterborough, Richmond, Sharon, Temple, and Troy.

Ricciardi has been particularly busy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Showing true leadership in a crisis, and knowing that Bedford has a large over-60 population at risk, she launched an effort to organize volunteers to help. Bedford Cares is a database of volunteers who have offered their services to help those at home who may be considered ‘at risk’. Tasks include delivering groceries, mail, prescriptions, or making trips to the transfer station. There's a phone number where those in need can call to be matched up with those volunteers.

Recently she has expanded her efforts to help restaurants stay on their feet during this challenging situation by promoting the purchase of their gift cards. The website where this can be found is http://www.tasteofbedford.net

All restaurants are invited to participate at no cost to them. Bedford Cares does not receive any profit for their effort.

A Bedford resident for 24 years, Ricciardi was first elected to the council in a landslide at town meeting in March 2019. She has been a frequent contributor to all things Bedford for many years. She has been a long time community volunteer serving on many commissions such as the Conservation Commission and Old Towne Days. She has been a board member of various community clubs.

She resides with her her husband Giorgio and they have one son who is a recent graduate of Northeastern University.
