Richard and Stacy Carter reel in 1st place at Better Half's Open tournament

Richard Carter and Stacy Carter had 13.95 pounds and also big bass with a 3.64-pounder to win first place during the Better Half’s Open Couples Bass tournament on Oct. 30 on the Kissimmee Chain. Steven Coleman and Tina Coleman took second place with 10.87 pounds. Jason Brewer and Cheryl Brewer were third with 9.79 pounds.

George Parker and Rosie Parker had a seven-fish aggregate of 9.02 pounds and also big fish with a 1.57-pounder to win first place in both the Sunshine State Crappie Trail and Florida Crappie Club tournament on Oct. 29 at Lake Dora, Beauclair and Carlton. Sam Cooper was second with 7.93 pounds. D.J. Hillbun and Lisa Normand were third with 7.58 pounds.

Ishmael Garcia and James Kiddie had 15.1 pounds and also big bass with a 4.12-pounder to win first place in the Country Boys Fishing LLC Sunday Open tournament on Oct. 30 at Lake Rochelle. Keith Brown and Dennis Minton were second with 10.14 pounds. Maddox Hood and Riley Miller were third with 10.13 pounds.

Time is safe light until 2 p.m. Entry fee is $125 day of the event. Ramp fee is $6 paid at ramp. First six places are guaranteed prize money along with a big fish pot.
