For the first time since 2019, Forbes found the richest people living in each U.S. state, creating a healthy list of billionaires across the country.

Elon Musk took Texas. Jeff Bezos claimed Washington. But who is the richest person in the Golden State? Spoiler: He lives in Palo Alto.

Who is Larry Page?

Larry Page is the co-founder, former CEO and current board member of Google’s parent company, Alphabet.

Page co-founded Google in 1998 alongside Sergey Brin, a fellow Stanford Ph.D. student. The two of them invented the algorithm that fuels the search engine.

His bachelor’s degree is from the University of Michigan and his master’s is from Stanford, according to Forbes. He is married with one child.

According to Forbes’ real-time wealth calculator, on Tuesday he was the seventh richest person in the world (up from No. 12 earlier this year) and the sixth wealthiest person in the United States (down from No. 5).

Forbes considers Page to be an 8 out of 10 on the “self-made” scale, meaning an individual “came from a middle-class or upper-middle-class background.”
