Lucas 15, Mansfield Christian 0 F/5
The Lucas Cubs closed out their 2023 season with a convincing 15-0 Mid-Buckeye Conference win over Mansfield Christian on Friday night.
Kailyn Caugherty led the way with three hits while Maddie Boyar, Isabel Alt and Abigail Smith had two hits apiece and Marissa Caugherty, Tailor Camp and Myah Midkiff had one hit apiece. Kailyn Caugherty had three RBIs while Alt and Smith had two RBIs apiece and Marissa Caugherty, Boyer, Trinity Stickney, Keara Ammons and Midkiff had one RBI apiece.
Boyer and Marissa Caugherty combined for a 5-inning no-hitter with four strikeouts apiece.
The Cubs wrap up the year 9-12 while Mansfield Christian is 3-12.
Plymouth 6, St. Paul 0
The Plymouth Big Red earned a solid 6-0 Firelands Conference win over St. Paul on Friday.
Chloe Trine, Kristi Yeager and Jaylin Branham had two hits apiece while Makenzie Back and Aryssa Horne had one hit apiece. Branham had three RBIs while Yeager and Carlie Finnegan had one RBI apiece. Branham had a home run in the win.
Back picked up the victory in the circle allowing one hit with 13 strikeouts in seven innings of work.
Plymouth is now 14-10 on the season.

Madison 15, New Philadelphia 5 F/6
The Madison Rams made short work of New Philadelphia on Thursday with a 15-5 Ohio Cardinal Conference win.
Olivia Schulz led the way with four hits while Kyleigh Reiter had three, Hope Barrett, Emma Stankovich and Ashley Markley had two apiece and Emily Nolan, Bri Bowles and Kendyll Kershner had one apiece. Schulz had four RBIs while Reiter had three, Stankovich, Markley and Kershner had two apiece and Bowles had one. Bowles slugged a home run while Schulz set the program’s single-season RBI record with her 47th run batted in this year.
Layla Azmoun picked up the win in the circle allowing five runs on nine hits with four strikeouts.
The Rams are now 18-5 on the year.
Mount Vernon 20, Lexington 1 F/5
The Lexington Minutemen took a tough 20-1 loss to Mount Vernon on Thursday in Ohio Cardinal Conference play.
Jillian Morr, Kaylie Eichorn, Kylie Thornton and Madyson Taylor had one hit apiece. Kylie Galownia had the lone RBI in the loss.
Lexington is now 10-13 on the season.
Division IV Sectional Final
South Central 17, Lucas 1 F/ 5
The Lucas Cubs took a tough 17-1 loss to South Central on Thursday night in the Division IV sectional championship game.
Maddie Boyer, Isabell Alt and Myah Midkiff had one hit apiece for the Cubs while Alt had the lone RBI.
The Cubs are 8-12 on the season.

Plymouth 6, Crestview 4
The Plymouth Big Red took a nice 6-4 win over Crestview on Wednesday evening in Firelands Conference action.
Cailynn Bailey led the Big Red with three hits while Jaylin Branham had two and Bree Fellows, Makenzie Back and Arianna Detillion had one hit apiece. Fellows and Back had one RBI apiece in the win.
Back took the victory in the circle allowing four runs, three earned, on 10 hits with 10 strikeouts.
Sophie Durbin led the Cougars with three hits while McKenzie Tucker had two and Chesnie Patton, PJ Endicott, Kalee Hamman, Jillian Weaver and Makenna Tackett had one hit apiece. Patton, Hamman and Weaver had one RBI apiece in the loss.
The Big Red improves to 12-10 on the year while Crestview falls to 13-7.
Clear Fork 14, Highland 6
The Clear Fork Colts picked up an impressive 14-6 Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference win over Highland on Wednesday.
Mel Blubaugh, Pacey Chrastina and Andrea Swainhart led the way for the Colts with two hits apiece while Macy Ousley, Renee Anders, Morgan Shafer, Ava Carr and Bri Patterson had one hit apiece. Swainhart, Shafer and Carr had three RBIs apiece while Anders and Patterson had one apiece. Carr had a home run in the win.
Chrastina picked up the win in the circle allowing two runs, just one earned, on six hits with six strikeouts in five innings of work.
Clear Fork is now 16-8 on the season.
Crestline 21, Mansfield Christian 7 F/5
The Mansfield Christian Flames took a tough Mid-Buckeye Conference loss to Mansfield Christian on Wednesday falling 21-7.
Abby Heininger and Talia Byrom had two hits apiece for the Flames while Noel Cline had a triple and two RBIs and Scarlett Ziadeh had her first career hit and stolen base.

Madison 6, New Philadelphia 0
The Madison Rams picked up an impressive 6-0 Ohio Cardinal Conference win on Tuesday beating New Philadelphia to keep their league championship hopes alive.
Bri Bowles led the way with three hits while Emily Nolan and Olivia Schulz had two hits apiece and Kyleigh Reiter and Emma Stankovich had one hit apiece. Bowles and Schulz had two RBIs apiece while Reiter had one in the win.
Layla Azmoun had the best outing of the season in the circle with a 5-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts in seven innings of work.
Madison improves to 17-5 on the year.
Shelby 9, Ontario 2
The Shelby Whippets played spoiler on Tuesday preventing the Ontario Warriors from clinching a share of the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference title with a 9-2 victory.
Kendal Parsons led the way for Shelby with two hits while Natalie Kennard, Trinity Baker, Alyssa Neill, Reece Friend, Demi Hill, Addy Cornette and Lexi Booker had one hit apiece. Kennard, Parsons and Neill had two RBIs apiece while Hipp and Cornette had one.
Booker earned the win in the circle allowing two runs on five hits with one strikeout in seven innings of work.
Trista Jewell led the way for Ontario with two hits while Taylor Mullins, Olivia Kreger and Brinlee Kreger had on hit apiece. Joslynne Frazier and Jewell had one RBI apiece in the loss.
Shelby improves to 13-11 on the year while Ontario falls to 16-5.
Mapleton 8, Plymouth 6
The Plymouth Big Red dropped a tough Firelands Conference contest to Mapleton 8-6 on Tuesday night.
Chloe Trine led the way with three hits while Bree Fellows and Jaylin Branham has two hits apiece and Aryssa Horne, Cailynn Bailey and Kristi Yeader had one hit apiece for the Big Red. Yeager, Fellows and Branham had one RBI apiece in the loss.
Makenzie Back took the loss in the circle despite pitching well allowing eight runs, but just one was earned, on seven hits with nine strikeouts.

Division II Sectional Semifinals
Lexington 21, Mansfield Senior 1 F/5
The Lexington Lady Lex advanced to the Division II sectional championship with a 21-1 victory over Mansfield Senior on Tuesday night.
Kaylie Eichorn led the way with three hits while Kylie Galownia, Kaylan Lamb and Kyra Boyd had two hits apiece and Jillian Morr, Grace Miller, Kylie Thornton, Summer Branham, Addison Cyrus and Mckenna Rose had one hit apiece. Lamb and Boyd collected four RBIs apiece while Galownia had three,Morr, Miller and Thornton had two apiece and Eichorn, Rose and Branham had one apiece.
Galownia earned the win in the circle allowing one unearned run on two hits with five strikeouts.
Hannah Nolanand Leahana Schaub had one hit apiece for the Tygers.
Lexington improves to 10-12 and will move on to play at No. 1 seed Bellevue on Friday for a sectional championship.

The Lexington Lady Lex picked up a signature win on Monday night beating Mount Vernon 13-7 in Ohio Cardinal Conference play.
Kylie Galownia and Kylie Thornton led the way with three hits apiece for Lady Lex while Jillian Morr, Kaylie Eichorn, Kaylan Lamb, Summer Branham and Kyra Boyd had two hits apiece and Madyson Taylor had one hit. Morr, Thornton and Branham had two RBIs apiece while Galownia, Eichorn and Lamb had one RBI apiece. Morr had two home runs in the win.
Addison Cyrus earned the win in the circle allowing five runs, just two earned, on six hits with a strikeout in five innings of work. Galownia took the two-inning save allowing two runs, just one earned, on one hit with one strikeout.
Lexington improves to 9-12 on the season.
Crestview 7, Plymouth 1
The Crestview Cougars earned an impressive 7-1 Firelands Conference victory over Plymouth on Monday night.
Sophie Durbin and Chesnie Patton had three hits apiece while PJ Endicott, McKenzie Tucker, Jillian Weaver, Makena Tackett and Maddeline Grant had one hit apiece. Patton and Endicott had two RBIs apiece while Durbin and Tackett had one RBI apiece. Endicott had a home run in the victory.

The Shelby Whippets took a tough 10-3 nonconference loss to Huron on Monday night.

Ontario 10, Marion Harding 1
The Ontario Warriors inched closer to clinching a Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference championship with a 10-1 win over Marion Harding on Saturday.
Joslynne Frazier led the way with five hits while Taylor Mullins, Kylie Snow, Trista Jewell and Olivia Kreger had two apiece and Autumn Taylor and Eden Howard had one hit apiece. Frazier collected five RBIs while Jewell and Kreger had two apiece and Taylor had one. Frazier had a home run in the victory.
She also picked up the win in the circle allowing one run on nine hits with four strikeouts.
The Warriors improve to 16-4 on the season.

The Lucas Cubs picked up a nice Mid-Buckeye Conference win over Central Christian on Saturday winning 18-2.
Maddie Boyer led the way with four hits while Isabel Alt, Trinity Stickney, Kailyn Caugherty and Keara Ammons added three hits apiece while Marissa Caugherty and Myah Midkiff had two hits apiece and Sydney Blackledge, Zoe Baker and Abigail Smith had one hit apiece. Midkiff had five RBIs while Alt had four, Boyer and Kailyn Caugherty had two apiece and Stickney, Baker and Smith had one RBI apiece. Alt had a home run in the victory.

The Clear Fork Colts took a tough nonconference loss to Hillsdale on Saturday, 5-3.
Mel Blubaugh, Katrina Rogers, Renee Anders and Andrea Swainhart all had one hit apiece for the Colts, Rogers had two RBIs while Anders had one. Rogers and Anders both slugged home runs.
Pacey Chrastina pitched well enough to win allowing five runs on 12 hits with seven strikeouts.

The Madison Rams took home an easy 15-3 win over Wooster in Ohio Cardinal Conference action on Friday night in Game 1.
Emily Nolan led the way with three hits while Addy Ferris and Kendyll Kershner had two hits apiece and Hope Barrett, Bri Bowles, Kyleigh Reiter, Emma Stankovich and Ashley Markley had one hit apiece. Bowles led the way with five RBIs while Markley had three, Nolan and Reiter had two apiece and Barrett, Stankovich and Ferris had one apiece.

The Rams completed the doubleheader sweep over Wooster on Friday with a 12-2 victory.

Baker had three RBIs while Kennard, Neill, Cornette and Hipp had two apiece and Parsons, Friend, Kennedy Studer and Bogner had one RBI apiece. Baker clubbed a home run in the victory.
Mel Blubaugh led Clear Fork with three hits while Renee Anders, Ava Carr and Andrea Swianhart had two hits apiece and Macy Ousley, Katrina Rogers and Pacey Chrastina had one hit apiece. Alex Switaj led the way with three hits while Trista Jewell and Olivia Kreger had two hits apiece and Autumn Taylor, Eden Howard and Brinlee Kreger had one hit apiece. Switaj collected four RBIs while Brinlee Kreger had two and Howard had one. Switaj and Howard each clubbed home runs.
Taylor was dominant in the circle picking up the win with a shutout victory on just six hits with nine strikeouts.
The Warriors are now 14-4 on the season.
Crestview 11, Mapleton 10
The Crestview Cougars earned a dramatic 11-10 win over Mapleton in Firelands Conference action on Thursday.
Sophie Durbin had two hits with two runs scored while Chesnie Patton added four hits with two home runs, two singles and three runs scored, PJ Endicott had three hits with two RBIs and a run and Kalee Hammon had two hist with two walks and the game-winning, walk off hit. Makenzie Tucker, Maddie Grant and Addi Kline had one hit apiece.
Patton earned the win in the circle with six strikeouts.
The Cougars are now 11-6 on the year.
Mansfield Christian 18, Harvest Prep 7 F/5
The Mansfield Christian Flames earned their second win of the season knocking off Harvest Prep 18-7 in nonconference action Thursday night.
Noel Cline led the way with four hits while Abby Heininger and Emma Docherty had two hits apiece. Cline had two triples with five RBIs and also earned the win in the circle with nine strikeouts in five innings.
It was one of the Flames’ best performances of the year as they collected 13 hits from eight different players and only had three errors defensively.
They improve to 2-10 on the season.

The Plymouth Big Red picked up an easy 10-0 win over Seneca East in nonconference action on Thursday night.
Bree Fellows and Cailyn Bailey led the way with three hits apiece while Jaylin Branham, Makenzie Back, Aryssa Horne and Kristi Yeager had two hits apiece and Chloe Trine added one. Trine, Back and Bailey had two RBIs apiece while Fellows and Yeager had one apiece. Trine slugged a home run in the victory for her 100th career hit.
Back earned the win in the circle twirling a one-hit shutout with nine strikeouts and one walk.

The Madison Rams took a tough nonconference loss to North Ridgeville on Saturday at the Prebis Memorial at Keystone.
Emily Nolan led the Rams with three hits while Hope Barrett, Bri Bowles, Olivia Schulz, Emma Stankovich and Ashley Markely added one hit apiece. Barrett, Bowles and Schulz each had one RBI apiece.
Layla Azmoun pitched well enough to win allowing six runs, just three earned, on seven hits with eight strikeouts.
Midview 15, Madison 8
The Rams lost their second game on the Prebis on Saturday falling to Midview, 15-8.
Olivia Schulz had three hits while Hope Barrett, Kyleigh Reiter and Kendyll Kershner had two apiece and Emily Nolan, Bri Bowles, Emma Stankovich and Ashley Markley had one apiece. Barrett collected three RBIs while Schulz had two and Reiter and Markley had one apiece. Schulz had a home run which tied the program record for home runs in a single season with six.

The Plymouth Big Red picked up a signature win on Friday beating Monroeville 6-2 to hand the Eagles their first Firelands Conference loss of the season.
Makenzie Back led the way with three hits while Chloe Trine had two and Bree Fellows, Jaylin Branham, Aryssa Horne, Cailynn Bailey and Kristi Yeager had one hit apiece. Trine, Fellows, Back and Horne had one RBI apiece.
Back earned the win in the circle allowing two runs on four hits with eight strikeouts in seven innings of work.

Joslynne Frazier led the way with four hits while Brinlee Kreger had three hits and Taylor Mullins, Kylie Snow, Trista Jewell, Eden Howard, Olivia Kreger and Alex Switaj had one hit apiece. The Ontario Warriors picked up an impressive 3-2 win over Poland Seminary during the Wendy’s Classic in Ashland on Friday afternoon.
Taylor Mullins led the way with two hits while Trista Jewell, Joslynne Frazier, Kylie Snow, Autumn Taylor and Eden Howard had one hit apiece. Mullins and Frazier had one RBI apiece as both hit solo home runs. Mullins has now homered in six consecutive games.

The Shelby Whippets pulled off a dramatic win over Lexington on Thursday night winning 6-5 by scoring two runs in the top of the seventh.
Maggie Bogner, Addy Cornette and Kelsey Snyder led the way with two hits apiece while Natalie Kennard, Kendal Parsons, Alyssa Neill and Demi Hipp had one hit apiece. Bogner had two RBIs as Hipp also added two with a two-RBI double in the top of the seventh to give the Whippets the lead.

Chesnie Patton went a perfect 5-for-5 with a double and four singles while scoring once. Kalee Hammon had a hit while Jillian Weaver added two hits with two runs scored. Makena Tacket added a hit and a run while Maddie Grant had two hits and one run scored.

The Crestview Cougars got a piece of revenge on Tuesday knocking off St. Paul 13-1 in Firealnds Conference play.
Chesnie Patton led the way with two hits and two RBIs while PJ Endicott added two hits, both doubles, and three RBIs. Makena Tacket added two hits and two runs while Sophie Durbin had one hit, a triple, and three RBIs and Maddie Grant had one hit with an RBI and two runs scored.
Patton worked a complete game in the circle allowing just one unearned run on two hits with seven strikeouts.
The Cougars are now 2-2 on the season.
River Valley 4, Ontario 3
The Ontario Warriors took a tough 4-3 Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference loss to River Valley on Tuesday night.
Trista Jewell led the way with three hits for Ontario while Joslynne Frazier and Autumn Taylor had two hits apiece and Taylor Mullins, Kylie Snow and Alex Switaj had one hit apiece. Taylor collected two RBIs while Jewell had one.
The Warriors fall to 2-3 on the season.
Mount Gilead 22, Mansfield Christian 1 F/5
The Mansfield Christian Flames took a tough nonconference loss to Mount Gilead on Tuesday, 22-1.
The Flames fall to 0-3 on the year.

The Plymouth Big Red earned an impressive 13-5 Firelands Conference win over Western Reserve on Monday night.
Makenzie Back led the way with four hits and nine RBIs with two home runs while Chloe Trine had three hits, Lily Cook had two hits and two RBIs and Bree Fellows, Jaylin Branham, Arianna Detillion and Carlie Finnegan had one hit apiece. Branham added two RBIs.
Back earned the win in the circle working all seven innings allowing five runs, just one earned, on six hits with 19 strikeouts.
The Big Red improved to 2-0 on the season.
Loudonville 11, Lucas 1 F/5
The Lucas Cubs took a tough 11-1 loss to Loudonville in Mid-Buckeye Conference play on Monday night.
Maddie Boyer led the Cubs with two hits while Trinity Stickney and Abigail Smith had one hit apiece. Boyer had one RBI in the loss.
Lucas is now 0-2 on the season.
Clyde 16, Lexington 3 F/5
The Lexington Lady Lex took a tough nonconference loss to Clyde on Monday falling 16-3 in five innings.
Jillian Morr led the way with three hits while Kylie Galownia and Kaylie Eichorn had two hits apiece and Summer Branham and Kylie Thornton had one hit apiece. Eichorn, Thornton and Rylie McGuire had one RBI apiece in the loss.
Lady Lex is now 1-3 on the season.
St. Paul 6, Crestview 5
The Crestview Cougars took a tough 6-5 Firelands Conference loss to St. Paul on Monday night.
Sophie Durbin led the Cougars with two hits while adding two runs, two stolen bases and an RBI. PJ Endicott added two hits and an RBI while Tarynn Eagle, Chesnie Patton, Jillian Weaver, Makena Tacket and Leah Terry all had one hit apiece.
The Cougars are now 1-2 on the year.

Mount Gilead 19, Mansfield Christian 3 F/5
Madison 12, Shelby 5
The Madison Rams picked up an impressive nonconference win over Shelby on Saturday afternoon, 12-5.
Bri Bowles and Olivia Schulz led the way with three hits apiece for the Rams while Hope Barrett, Emma Stankovich and Ashley Markley had two hits apiece and Emily Nolan, Kyleigh Reiter, Addie Ferris and Kendyll Kershner had one hit apiece. Bowles and Schulz had four RBIs apiece while Stankovich, Markley and Ferris added one apiece. Bowles slugged two home runs in the win.
Layla Azmoun earned the win in the circle working seven innings allowing five runs, three earned, on seven hits with five strikeouts.
Kendal Parsons and Reece Friend led the way with two hits apiece while Nataie Kennard, Lexi Booker and Maggie Bogner had one hit apiece. Parsons, Alyssa Neill, Booker, Bogner and Friend all had one RBI apiece. Friend had a home run.
The Rams improve to 3-0 on the season while Shelby falls to 3-1.

Plymouth 11, Clear Fork 1 F/5
The Plymouth Big Red picked up an impressive 11-1 nonconference win over Clear Fork on Thursday night.
Makenzie Back was sensational for the Big Red. She piled up four hits while Jaylin Branham had three, Chloe Trine, Aryssa Horne and Cailynn Bailey had two apiece and Bree Fellows, Arianna Detillion and Carlie Finnegan had one hit apiece. Back and Branham had four RBIs apiece while Trine and Horne had one apiece. Back slugged a home run in the win.
Back also earned the win in the circle working five innings allowing just one unearned run on one hot with 11 strikeouts.
The Colts managed just one hit on the night as Mel Blubaugh helped them avoid the no-hitter. She also scored the Colts' only run.
The Big Red improve to 1-0 while Clear Fork falls to 0-3.
Madison 18, Lexington 0 F/5
The Madison Rams flexed their offensive muscles on Thursday night beating Lexington 18-0 to complete the season sweep.

The Crestview Cougars put up a good fight against traditional power Keystone on Thursday night in a 3-0 nonconference loss.
Sophie Durbin had a hit and a stolen base while PJ Endicott and Jillian Weaver had one hit apiece.
Chesnie Patton worked six innings allowing just two earned runs on four hits with eight strikeouts.
Crestview falls to 1-1 on the year.
New London 23, Mansfield Christian 0
The Mansfield Christian Flames took a tough 23-0 nonconference loss in their season opener to New London on Thursday night.
The Flames were no-hit in the effort.

The Ontario Warriors saw the bats come alive during a 22-6 Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference win over Highland on Wednesday.
Taylor Mullins had a huge day at the plate with five hits while Joslynne Frazier, Trista Jewell, Autumn Taylor and Alex Switaj had three hits apiece, Kylie Snow and Olivia Kreger had two hits apiece and Eden Howard had one. Frazier had four RBIs with a home run while Switaj had three RBIs, Mullins, Jewell, Taylor and Kreger had two RBIs apiece and Snow, Howard and Jakiah Trammel had one RBI apiece.
Taylor took the win in the circle allowing nine runs, just two earned, on five hits with seven strikeouts. The Warriors are now 2-1 on the year.
Shelby 12, Pleasant 9
The Shelby Whippets continued their hot streak to start the season with a 12-9 win over Pleasant on Wednesday in Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference action.
Demi Hipp led the way with three hits while Kendra Walp and Kendal Parsons added two hits apiece and Alyssa Neill, Alyssa Booker and Lexi Booker had one hit apiece. Hipp, Walp and Lexi Booker collected two RBIs apiece while Alyssa Booker and Reece Friend had one RBI apiece.
The Whippets are now 3-0 on the year.
River Valley 12, Clear Fork 2
The Clear Fork Colts took a tough 12-2 loss to River Valley in Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night.
Mel Blubaugh, Macy Ousley, Pacey Chrastina and Katrina Rogers all had one hit apiece for the Colts. Merista Brown had the lone RBI in the loss.
Clear Fork is now 0-2.

Crestview 14, Norwalk 8
Sophie Durbin made quite the statement in the first game of her junior season. During a 14-8 win over Norwalk, Durbin went 4-for-4 with two home runs, a triple and a double along with a walk, three RBIs, two stolen bases and three runs scored as the Cougars picked up a nonconference victory.
Chesnie Patton collected two hits with two doubles, two walks and two runs scored while PJ Endicott had a double, an RBI and two runs scored. Kalee Hammon added a double, a run scored and an RBI while Makenzie Tucker had one hit with one RBI and a run scored. Jillian Weaver had two singles with a run and an RBI while Audry Oliver scored a run and Leah Terry added two runs scored.
Patton picked up the win in the circle working four innings allowing six runs, none earned, with eight strikeouts. Hammon slammed the door shut over the final three innings with two strikeouts and three runs allowed.
The Cougars improve to 1-0 on the season.
Ontario 7, Highland 3
The Ontario Warriors picked up an impressive 7-3 Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference win over Highland on Tuesday.
Kylie Snow led the Warriors with three hits while Taylor Mullins and Joslynne Frazier added two apiece and Eden Howard, Trista Jewell, Autumn Taylor and Olivia Kreger had one hit apiece. Snow had three RBIs while Frazier had two and Howard and Taylor added one apiece.
Howard earned the win in the circle working a complete game allowing three runs, two earned, on six hits with six strikeouts.
The Warriors improve to 1-1 on the year and travel to Highland on Wednesday.
Shelby 19, Pleasant 1 F/5
The Shelby Whippets picked up a blowout Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference victory over Pleasant on Tuesday winning 19-1.
Alyssa Neill led the way with three hits while Kendyl Parsons and Lexi Booker added two hits apiece and Natalie Kennard, Trinity Baker, Maggie Bogner, Kendra Walp, Kelsey Snyder, Demi Hipp and Kennedy Studer had one hit apiece. Hipp collected four RBIs while Booker had three, Snyder and Parsons had two apiece and Neill, Baker, Bogner and Walp had one apiece.
Booker earned the win in the circle working all five innings allowing just one run on one hit with seven strikeouts.
The Whippets improve to 2-0 and host Pleasant on Wednesday.

The Clear Fork Colts took a tough Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference loss to River Valley on Tuesday night to open up league play.
Renee Anders had a big game for the Colts with three hits while Mel Blubaugh, Katrina Rogers and Bri Patterson had two hits apiece and Pacey Chrastina, Macy Ousley and Andrea Swainhart had one hit apiece. Blubaugh, Anders and Rogers had two RBIs apiece while Ousley had one. Blubaugh and Anders both slugged home runs.
The Colts fall to 0-1 and travel to River Valley on Wednesday.

The Lucas Cubs took a tough 12-1 loss to Danville on Tuesday night in nonconference action.
Kailyn Caugherty led the way with two hits while Maddie Boyer, Isabel Alt, Marissa Caugherty and Trinity Stickney had one hit apiece. Stickney had the lone RBI for the Cubs.
Lucas falls to 0-1.

Monday, March 27
Shelby 3, Norwalk 2 F/8
Demi Hipp came up big for her team when it needed her to the most. With the game tied at two in the bottom of the eighth, Hipp delivered a walk-off single with two outs to send the Whippets home with the 3-2 victory over Norwalk in nonconference action.
Natalie Kennard and Kendal Parsons both had two hits apiece while Alyssa Neill, Maggie Bogner, Lexi Booker and Hipp all had one hit apiece. Booker had two RBIs while Hipp added one.
Booker and Kelsey Snyder combined for the victory in the circle with each working four innings apiece. Snyder allowed just one run on five hits with three strikeouts while Booker allowed one run on one hit with eight Ks.
The Whippets improve to 1-0 and travel to Pleasant on Tuesday.
Lexington 9, Galion 5
The Lexington Lady Lex began their season with an impressive 9-5 win over Galion on Monday night in nonconference action.
Jillian Morr led the way with three hits while Addison Cyrus had two, Kylie Galownia, Kaylie Eichorn, Emily Asher, Mckenna Rose and Rylie McGuire had one hit apiece. Morr and Eichorn had two RBIs apiece while Galownia and Cyrus added one apiece.
Galownia earned the win in the circle working 6 ⅔ innings allowing five runs, just one earned, on seven hits with 12 strikeouts.
Lex improves to 1-0 and hosts Madison on Tuesday.
Saturday, March 25
Perkins 2, Ontario 1
The Ontario Warriors suffered a one-run loss in their first game of the season on Saturday falling to Perkins 2-1.
Taylor Mullins led the offense with three hits while Joslynne Frazier, Trista Jewell and Autumn Taylor added one hit apiece. Frazier had the lone RBI for the Warriors.
Frazier took the tough loss in the circle despite a strong performance. She threw six innings allowing just four hits, two runs, one earned, and had nine strikeouts.
The Warriors are 0-1 and host Highland on Tuesday.
