Richland Gives, an online giving event hosted by the Richland County Foundation, raised $504,504, via 1,220 donors for 86 Richland County nonprofit organizations. Since its inception in 2015, Richland Gives has raised $1,940,373, according to a news release from Richland County Foundation.

Richland Gives is designed to encourage people to contribute to local nonprofits they care about through a single giving website. The foundation hosted the day to build capacity, grow philanthropy and make the community stronger. It allows local organizations to raise funds and awareness as well as cultivate new donors and reinvigorate lapsed donors.

The Foundation awarded $100,000 in grants as incentives during the giving event. The nonprofit organizations that raised the most in the small and large nonprofit category were awarded $10,000 for first place, $5,000 for second place, $3,000 for third place and $1,000 for fourth, fifth and sixth place.

The winners in the small nonprofit category with annual budgets under $250,000 were:

•1 Lucas Community Center

•2 North Central State College Foundation

•3 Humane Society of Richland County

•4 North Central Ohio Land Conservancy

•5 Altrusa

•6 Linden Road Presbyterian Church

The winners of the large nonprofit category with annual budgets over $250,000 were:

•1 Renaissance Performing Arts

•2 St. Peter’s School

•3 Discovery School

•4 Richland Academy of the Arts

•5 Richland Pregnancy Services

•6 Friendly House

The following 10 organizations were the first to raise $5,000 online and were awarded a $2,000 grant prize:

Richland Pregnancy Services, Linden Road Presbyterian Church, Women’s Fund, Salvation Army, Altrusa, Lucas Community Center, Mansfield Area Y, Love in the Name of Christ, Shelby YMCA and Richland Academy of the Arts.;

The organizations awarded $1,000 grant prizes for raising either the most money or having the most donors during Golden Ticket hours were:

North Central State College Foundation, Renaissance Performing Arts (4 tickets), Richland Academy of the Arts (2 tickets), Lucas Community Center (3 tickets), Little, Buckeye Children’s Museum, Richland Pregnancy Services, Ohio Bird Sanctuary, Visual Bucket List and St. Peter’s School.

Grant prizes worth $250 each were awarded by a random drawing during the Leader Board Watch Party: Mansfield Playhouse, Discovery School, Richland Community Development Group, Ohio Bird Sanctuary, Women’s Fund, Catholic Charities, Catalyst Life Services, Richland Academy of the Arts, Mansfield Art Center, Humane Society of Richland County, Friendly House, North Central Ohio Industrial Museum, Harmony House, Third Street Family Health Services, Shelby YMCA, Little Buckeye Children’s Museum, St. Peter’s School, Clear Fork Valley Foundation, New Store, Richland Pregnancy Services, North End Community Improvement Collaborative, Salvation Army

Mid Ohio Guardianship, Linden Road Presbyterian Church, Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund, Mansfield Area Y, Altrusa, Lucas Community Center, Transport for Christ, Downtown Mansfield Inc., Starfish Project, Love in the Name of Christ.

Grant prizes worth $500 each were awarded by a random drawing during the Leader Board Watch Party: North Central State College Foundation, Kingwood Center Gardens

The Richland County Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, was established in 1945 as a way for individuals to pool and invest their gifts for the long-term good of Richland County and its residents.
