Social media users have resurfaced an old interview that involved a debate about Rick Ross‘ ranking among the all-time rappers. In an interview from 2019, Joe Budden said one of his friends ranked Ross as the 13th greatest rapper of all time.

The “Hustlin'” rapper then wondered how Budden feels about the ranking.

“Do you agree with the 13?” he said in the clip posted to Twitter.

Budden gave a one-word answer, saying “no.”

Ross, of course, wasn’t satisficed with the answer.

“You was arguing my spot closer to one, right?” he said.

Budden’s explanation, however, wasn’t what the rapper wanted to hear.

“No, not closer to one,” the interviewer said. “Not, no.”

“Aw man,” Ross replied, turning to the camera with a shocked expression.

As the clip resurfaces on social media, some music fans agreed that Ross is nowhere close to No. 13.

“My man’s not even top 50,” one person said.

“I like Ross.. but 13th is way too high,” another TikTok user said.

In the 2019 interview, Ross said he doesn’t get emotional about rankings.

“It’s entertainment,” he said. “It’s something a real n***a supposed to get emotional about. Not at all.”
