Ridgewood Board of Education meeting notes

WEST LAFAYETTE − The Ridgewood Local Schools Board of Education recently met in regular session to conduct routine business of the district.

Commendations were given to Cindy Patterson and Aiden Sparger for administering life-saving measures involving incidents with two students. Superintendent Mike Masloski presented the results of the Ohio School Report Card with the district receiving a 4.5 overall rating. Board member John Riebesell was given a plaque honoring his achievement honor from the All-Ohio State Board of Education.

Ridgewood FFA received $1,697 in donations, including $1,200 from the Coshocton County Farm Bureau.

Savannah Gress and Rebecca Wells resigned as student council advisers with Penny Mast being named the new adviser. Kathy Wright and Elaine Haynes were named junior class advisers. Rebecca Wells, Jacqueline McPherson, Jeff Larr, Jesse Smoulder, Bryan Raach and Jeff Larr were selected to the LPDC Professional Committee.

Kim Babcock will resign as head cook at Ridgewood High school on Dec. 31. Reva Paige was hired as a district substitute. Ian McCurdy will serve as IT support for 12 hours a week at minimum wage. Sandra Hess, Ron Bond and Lori Cabot will serve as district volunteers.

The next regular meeting will be at 7 a.m. Oct. 20 at Ridgewood Elementary School.
