Right on cue: ‘Hopeless’ Theresa May plays pool with Italian prime minister during summit in Egypt
Theresa May showed off her pool skills in an impromptu game with her Italian counterpart.
She was filmed learning how to hold a pool cue with Italian prime minister Giuseppe Conte on Sunday night.
Mr Conte posted a video online showing a group gathered around a pool table, and he hands a cue to Mrs May, inviting her to play.
The leaders were attending the EU-League of Arab States Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.

In the video, captioned “Let’s play pool @theresa_may”, Mrs May can be heard telling Mr Conte that she will be “hopeless” and that he will have to show her how to play.
After Mr Conte takes a shot, he invites Mrs May over to one end of the table and chalks her cue.

At this point, Mrs May’s chief of staff Gavin Barwell begins to explain and demonstrate how she should hold the cue.
The video cuts out before she takes a shot, leaving viewers with a cliffhanger ending.
Retweeting the video, chief secretary to the treasury Liz Truss, joked: “Pleased to see nothing’s been taken off the table.”
