Rihanna's Savage X Fenty lingerie brand will open brick and mortar store in Detroit

Rihanna fans rejoice: Savage X Fenty, the singer's wildly popular, size-inclusive lingerie brand, is launching a brick and mortar store in downtown Detroit.

Although the specific location remains unknown, the e-commerce brand on Wednesday announced its plans to open physical stores in Detroit as well as Long Island, Atlanta, St. Louis, Chicago and Newark, Delaware.

Founded by Rihanna as an online-only brand in 2018, the line was an immediate success thanks to its body-positive messaging and affordable prices. Now worth an estimated $3 billion, Savage X Fenty carries lingerie, sleepwear and loungewear in sizes up to 4XL. Its ubiquitous social media ads regularly feature unretouched images and models of all sizes, ethnicities and gender identities.

The success of Savage X Fenty comes at an apparent time of sea change in the lingerie market at large. Industry juggernaut Victoria's Secret saw a 20% revenue decrease in 2020, according to CNBC, while the Rhianna-backed brand saw its revenue double that same year.

The new stores will join existing Savage X Fenty locations in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston, Philadelphia and the Washington, D.C.,
